Yes, of course you are correct. I wouldn’t think people would want to burn anything larger than a candle without ventilation. The tea stove uses a very small amount of charcoal, but I used it in front of an open window.

The burning of any charcoal releases carbon monoxide and should not be done indoors without serious ventillation.
